Director of Rehabilitation and Human Performance Dr. John D. Ratcliffe DC DACRB Dr. Ratcliffe has his undergraduate degree in Human Anatomy and Physiology and received his Doctorate from Parker. He is Board Certified and holds a diplomat in Advanced Rehabilitation. After practicing for ten years as a Chiropractor he added the rehabilitation specialty after a rigorous post doctoral program, (only 178 such trained specialists are in the country). His areas of expertise are conservative based orthopedics, rehabilitation, human performance, movement disorders, exercise and fitness program development, chiropractic, and physiotherapy. He is avid in his post-doctorate education and has attended conferences at Harvard Medical School as well as many other prestigious institutions for the advancement of his specialized treatment. He also loves to exercise and get in shape with his patients. He has lost over fifty pounds!!!
As a lecturer and consultant Dr. Ratcliffe is also active in raising national standards of practice in the conservative treatment of the spine and extremities.
Director of Manual Medicine Dr. Brent A. Banks DC Dr. Banks received his doctorate at Palmer University in
Davenport, Iowa in 2004 and joined our office in November of 2005.
His welcome addition adds a wide variety of manual and
manipulative therapy techniques and a patient-centered approach to
rehabilitation. His skill is unsurpassed in gently re-aligning
not just the bones of the body but also in Myofascial Release
Technique. Dr. Banks approach has led to great successes in
the treatment and management of a vast array of musculoskeletal and
neurological disorders. Areas of interest and treatment
expertise include the spine and muscles but also the feet,
shoulders, and wrist. Just ask his patients with painful
plantar fasciitis they all say they love his work. As a
Chiropractor, he has
mastered the techniques of Gonstead, Activator, Thompson,
Lumbar Flexion-Distraction Traction, Cox-Leander, and Diversified.
Dr. Banks is well respected in the Loudoun County area for his
skilled hands.
Rehabilitation Instructor and Nutritionist Ashweene Kulkarni CNC, CPT Ash is passionate about helping people in their rehabilitation program and giving people counseling in nutrition. She has a heart for people needing to lose weight in addition to seeing them through their rehabilitation routine. Rehabilitation Assistant Tasha Murray BS After years of competitive volleyball and being an avid exerciser Tasha has joined our team. Having gone through painful knee rehabilitation herself she is very empathetic to our patients needs. Tasha assists in our physical therapy and rehabilitation department and is most likely the friendly voice you hear on the phone when you call. When Tasha employs NOVA's stretching and flexibility routine, you'll just won't believe how limber you feel.
The whole team. We have a number of other staff to professionally serve you. Our nutritionist is available for you to discuss non-pharmaceutical options to inflammation and pain control. Our other therapists will be assisting you in your care as well and may guide help you with active assisted stretching, deep tissue muscle activation, physical therapy, or working with you one on one with your exercises.
